Introduction
Welcome to the web page of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine where you can apply for the issuance of e-Visa.
On this web page you can fill in an e-Visa application form online. Before registration, please, be aware of whether you may obtain e-Visa for entering Ukraine. In this regard, please, indicate on the Homepage:
- the country of your nationality;
- the purpose of your visit (one of the proposed options).
After checking the possibility of the e-Visa issuance you can access personal account, if you are a registered user, or create a new personal account.
You do not need to visit the diplomatic mission or consular post of Ukraine abroad to apply for e-Visa. E-Visa will be issued within 9 working days at the Directorate General for Consular Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine as a single entry visa for entering Ukraine for business or tourist purpose of visit for the period up to 30 days.
You have to apply for e-Visa three months prior to the intended trip and no later than 10 days prior to this trip. In cases where applicant is a minor or an incapacitated person, e-Visa application shall be submitted by one of his (her) parents or other legal guardian. For each person a separate e-visa application shall be submitted.
To apply for e-Visa you are required to:
1) register on this web page;
2) fill in an e-Visa application form;
3) download photograph;
4) attach to the completed e-Visa application form the scanned copy of:
• the passport document pages, containing personal data;
• a valid medical insurance policy with coverage of at least 30000 Euro or its equivalent in other currency;
• a document confirming the availability of sufficient funds to cover the costs of an intended stay and return to the state of origin or transit to the third state, or ability to legally acquire sufficient funds in the territory of Ukraine;
• a document confirming business or tourist purpose of visit (in Ukrainian or English);
5) pay consular fee in non-cash form by electronic means of payment.
One of the documents confirming the availability of sufficient funds is the following:
• a document confirming hotel reservation or payment for accommodation and dining in Ukraine;
• agreement for tourist services (voucher);
• a letter of guarantee from the inviting party, that it undertakes the commitments on payment of all costs relating to the foreigner`s stay in and exit from the territory of Ukraine;
• a fixed date ticket for return to the state of nationality or to the state of permanent residence or to the third state.
One of the documents confirming business purpose of visit is the following:
• a letter of invitation from a legal entity registered in Ukraine, presented on the official letterhead, containing the number assigned in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, Individual Entrepreneurs and Public Organizations, registration number, date and signature, full name of the invited person, information about his/her date and place of birth, nationality, passport document details, place of residence, purpose of visit, duration of intended visit to Ukraine, number of entries and place of residence in Ukraine, the commitments of the legal entity on payment of the possible costs relating to the invited person’s stay in or exit from the territory of Ukraine;
• a letter of invitation from state authority, state institution, state enterprise, state organization;
• a document confirming foreign investment according to the legislation on foreign investment regime in the territory of Ukraine.
A document confirming tourist purpose of visit is as follows:
• a document confirming hotel reservation or
• agreement for tourist services (voucher), or
• a document confirming the foreigner will receive in the territory of Ukraine the tourist services on arrangement of visits to the objects of culture, recreation, etc.
The consular fee of 65 US dollars is charged for the issuance of e-Visa.
Please be aware of the following:
• consular fee is not refunded in case of taking the decision on e-Visa refusal;
• any false statements, provided by you, may lead to e-Visa refusal and denial of entry to Ukraine where there is an e-Visa issued.
For entry into and exit from the territory of Ukraine you shall present e-Visa printed hard copy along with his/her passport document to the Ukraine`s State Border Guard authorities and shall keep it for the whole period of stay in Ukraine.
The mere fact that you have been granted an e-Visa does not mean that you are entitled to compensation if you have breached the provisions of the Ukrainian legislation and therefore have been denied entry to Ukraine. Your compliance with entry requirements will be checked again at the border control, including:
• a confirmation of the purpose of the intended stay;
• a demonstration of a valid medical insurance policy with coverage of at least 30000 Euro or its equivalent in other currency;
• a demonstration of sufficient funds to cover the costs of an intended stay in Ukraine and return to the state of origin, or ability to legally acquire sufficient funds in the territory of Ukraine.
Personal account
Use your personal account to create a new e-Visa application form, attach thereto the scanned copy of necessary documents, pay consular fee, submit e-Visa application for consideration and track the status of e-Visa issuance.
To create a new personal account you are required to indicate the following:
• your surname, name, email address;
• language of e-Visa application form;
• your password and its confirmation.
After passing a verifying captcha code and pressing button “Register” your personal account will be created and you will be able to fill in an e-Visa application form.
Submission of e-Visa application
You may create a new e-Visa application form via “Fill in a new e-Visa application form” service. While filling in an e-Visa application form, please, follow the instructions displayed in the respective fields of the e-Visa application form. You may save your e-Visa application form as a draft and continue to fill in it later. If e-Visa previously was granted to you via web page https://еvisa.mfa.gov.ua/, a PDF file had to be saved automatically in the browser`s download folder. Please download this PDF file to shorten your time for filling in a new e-Visa application form.
Any false statements, provided in your e-Visa application form, may lead to e-Visa refusal and denial of entry to Ukraine where there is an e-Visa issued. Please fill in an e-Visa application form according to the prescribed requirements and tips, namely:
- use Latin characters only when filling in all fields of e-Visa application form, which contain the text;
- fill in some fields using the list of the proposed options or the marks placed next to the name of the field;
- fill in the fields being of specific format (email address) according to the format requirements;
- enter the passport document data in strict compliance with the data provided in the passport document;
- you have to attach to the completed e-Visa application form the scanned copy (in JPEG or JPG format) of:
  • photograph;
  • the passport document pages, containing personal data;
  • a valid medical insurance policy with coverage of at least 30000 Euro or its equivalent in other currency;
  • a document confirming the availability of sufficient funds to cover the costs of an intended stay and return to the state of origin or transit to the third state, or ability to legally acquire sufficient funds in the territory of Ukraine;
  • a document confirming business or tourist purpose of visit (in Ukrainian or English).
After filling in an e-Visa application form you may check it, review information on the rules of entry to Ukraine upon e-Visa and order of processing your personal data, and, in case of your agreement, proceed to consular fee payment via internet banking.
If you successfully submitted your e-Visa application, you will automatically receive a corresponding notification to your indicated email address.
Within nine working days you will receive to your indicated email address either the issued e-Visa (in PDF format) – in case of taking the decision on the issuance of e-Visa, or the e-Visa refusal letter (in PDF format). In case of taking the decision on e-Visa refusal you may:
1) submit a new e-Visa application for consideration or
2) appeal against this decision within two months since the date of its receipt by sending the letter of appeal, containing your arguments, to the following email address:
If your letter of appeal against the decision on e-Visa refusal is satisfied, you will be able to open your online e-Visa application form, edit it and re-apply. No further consular fee payment is required.
Submitted e-Visa application forms
Via “Submitted e-Visa application forms” service you may review your previously submitted e-Visa application forms, print, if necessary, the e-Visa application form, the issued e-Visa or the e-Visa refusal letter.
If you save your e-Visa application form as a draft you will be able to continue to fill in it via this service.
